Unlike more traditional analytical therapies, the solution-focused way doesn’t ask you to deep dive into all the things that are troubling you. It uses gentle hypnotic techniques to bring about safe, positive, lasting change.

For anyone unfamiliar with solution focused hypnotherapy, I like to think of it as coaching meets guided relaxation. It’s a partnership between us, where I ask the questions that help you identify the steps you need to take to feel better, whatever better means to you. This makes it a really empowering therapy – you are doing the work and finding your own solutions, I’m just the facilitator.

The trance work is similar to a guided meditation: you are deeply relaxed but in control at all times. This helps reduce stress and anxiety and boost your mood so that you can make great progress.

Initial Consultation

The initial consultation is a no-obligation information-gathering session where you tell me what you would like help with.

I share some neuroscience, explain how the brain works, how we can find ourselves in the situations we are unhappy with, and how I can help you decide how to move forward in life.

Solution Focused Sessions

Time: 45-60 minutes 
Cost: £50
 

Solution focused hypnotherapy is a simple and quick method, usually taking just 8-12 sessions to get you back on track. These tend to take place weekly at first, moving to fortnightly or even monthly once you start to really get back on top of things.

Each person is different though - some people require fewer sessions and some need more. Others like to have ad hoc appointments (similar to getting a back massage when you feel a bit stiff - the odd session of hypnosis can ease mental knots and is a great way to maintain a healthy mind).

You can start again, from this very moment.

 

Whether you are feeling a little out of sorts or are at rock bottom with depression or anxiety, there is no requirement to understand the root of your problems in order to move on from them.

It’s all about working out where you are now and what will help you move forward to a happier, calmer, healthier you.
